Rebuilt Employee Trust at a Manufacturing Site
The Challenge
Following leadership and policy changes, an aerospace manufacturing company had a plant that was struggling with low employee satisfaction, retention concerns, and growing interest in unionization.
My Approach
I surveyed employees and interviewed leaders to uncover communication gaps, then developed and implemented a targeted internal communications strategy. I equipped leaders with talking points, scripts, texts, presentations, and other tools to communicate more consistently and effectively.
The Impact
Six months later, 76% of employees rated supervisor communications Good or Excellent, compared with just 25% who had highly rated leadership communications previously. Survey participation increased 49%, union interest declined, and the company brought me in to support another facility.
